Jorge “JC” Chamorro is a proud Pansexual Nicaraguan-American who has dedicated his life to uplifting and serving his community. Immigrating to the United States from Nicaragua as a child, Jorge grew up in San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District, where he attended school, built a family, and developed a deep connection to his community.

His journey in community service began during his high school and early college years, working with impactful nonprofit organizations like Instituto Familiar De La Raza, Horizons Unlimited, and Mission Neighborhood Health Center. These early experiences fueled his passion for advocacy and community empowerment.

For more than two decades, Jorge (widely known as JC) has been a driving force in the LGBTQ+ community as the owner and lead promoter of JC Events, producing iconic music and nightlife experiences throughout Northern California. His work has fostered joy, connection, and visibility, cementing his reputation as both a cultural creator and community advocate.

Now serving as Executive Director of Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa, JC continues to champion equity, belonging, and vibrancy, creating spaces where all people can thrive and be seen.

Nicole (she/her) is a queer Latina social worker with a deep commitment to LGBTQIA+ community, health equity, and social justice. She began working with Rainbow in 2015 through her role in HIV testing at Contra Costa County Public Health. While earning her MSW in Community Mental Health at Cal State East Bay, Nicole joined Rainbow as an intern—providing counseling, leading the Women’s HIV Support Group, and developing programming focused on women’s services.

Now a dedicated member of Rainbow’s clinical team, Nicole is passionate about expanding therapeutic services and fostering representation for 2SLGBTQIA+ therapists and clients. In her free time, she loves spending time with her kids, dancing, reading, thrifting, and all things Frida Kahlo.
