Intern Program

RCC maintains several internship programs:

1 – An MSW/Case Management training program

2 – A  Mental Health training program

3- Youth Outreach Internships

All interns receive extensive training in theories of LGBTQ identity development and community mental health.

MSW/Case Management Program Interns

MSW / Case Management Interns help connect clients to resources under Rainbow Counseling & Case Management Services. Interns might assist community members in need of local services such as affordable housing, substance abuse treatment, home visits or food assistance. They can also help people look for a job and practice interviewing skills, and they help LGBTQ people navigate other county support systems.  They advocate for improved services from the RCC and from other local agencies. Interns also provide home visits and support to people who have difficulty leaving their homes due to disability or illness.
