Programs, Services and Meetings

Kind Hearts Program

Program Manager: Wade Meyer, MDiv wade@rainbowcc.org

* Food Bank

Every Thursday

11:00am to 2:00pm

Provides groceries (fresh produce, canned food items, pet food, etc) for People with HIV/AIDS, LGBT Seniors and others in need of nutritional support

* Brown Bag Distribution

For people aged 55+

Every first and third Thursday of the month 


11:00 am to 2:00 pm

* Senior Lunch

Provides free lunch for LGBTQI seniors and their allies.

First Friday and third Tuesday of the month


1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

* Poz Dinner

Free catered dinner for men and women living with HIV.

Last Monday of the month


5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

* Home Visitor Program

Provides social interaction for homebound and/or otherwise isolated individuals (particularly seniors and those living with HIV/AIDS).

Currently recruiting for program participants and volunteers.

HIV Testing

Program Manager: Kas Shields, kas@rainbowcc.org

HIV testing clinic guarantees seating for the first 10 people to make an appointment.

Youth Program

Social and support groups for our LGBTIQ youths. Weekday and Saturday activities, special events and monthly movies.

Support group for all LGBTQ youth

* Keepin' It REYL (Rainbow Educators and Youth Leaders)

Helps youth to build leadership and community organizing skills by organizing a youth dance every 4 months.

5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the RCC.

* Transitions

Support for Transgender and questioning youth.

Every first and third Wednesday

4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the RCC

* Platypus

Support group for all LGBTQ youth

Every second and fourth Wednesday

3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rivertown Center in Antioch, CA

* Youth Events:

Youth field trips (e.g., the Castro District of San Francisco, museums, movies and various RCC events)

This is a drop-in support/discussion group.

The meeting provides an opportunity to meet and become acquainted with other women, to discuss a variety of topics, and to be a part of our local LGBTIQ community.

Rainbow PIN (Political Information Network)

Rainbow PIN is a group formed to discuss and update the LGBTIQ community about political issues and topics of interest to members’ lives.
