PRIDE Awards

Now accepting nominations!

Each year the Rainbow Community Center presents two PRIDE Awards recognizing outstanding  individuals and/or organizations for providing exceptional leadership in promoting social opportunities, health and wellness services, and/or awareness programs in support of the LGBTQ community in Contra Costa County. The specific activities of the recipient of the these community service awards  must have a clear impact on the social growth, health and wellness and/or awareness and appreciation of the LGBTQ residents of Contra Costa County.

The recipient of the PRIDE Awards must have personally and directly provided service which has significantly impacted the LGBTQ community and/or provided advocacy and leadership in the creation and implementation of services which have impacted the LGBTQ community.

One award honors the contributions of an individual or organization that has demonstrated exceptional allyship to the LGBTQ community, while the other award recognizes an LGBTQ-identified community contributor.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 12th

Award winners will be announced publicly at RCC’s PRIDE on the Plaza on Saturday, May 20th. Nominees will be notified in person prior to the Picnic to assure their presence at the event to receive their award.
